Pink Hair, Don’t Care: Pink Hair Hits the Fashion World
This season, one hair trend has emerged larger—and brighter—than any other: pink. Celebrities from Katy Perry to Sienna Miller recently have gone pink—and now it’s starting to pervade the high-fashion world as well. It was all over the front row during New York Fashion Week, on runways such as Thakoon—where models came down the runway with candy-colored hair—and even on the rapper Nicki Minaj, who frequented the shows in a ball of pink frizz.
“Pink hair used to be hair-show hair because it was very avant-garde,” says George Papanikolas, a colorist at the Andy Lecompte salon in Los Angeles. “I never thought I’d have to use it in the salon. Now I dye hair pink at least once or twice a week.” He says he uses products by a company called Joico that washes out in two weeks so it’s not as much of a commitment. “Pink has become more popular with blondes,” says Jen Atkin, an L.A.-based hair stylist for The Wall Group. “It can be very boring just being blonde.”
You know if the high fashion world is starting to catch on, everyone will. So time to move on to something new trendsetters. What new and fresh thing can you do to make you stand out in the crowd. Start the next hair color trend, and the only one that is progressively logical, PURPLE. Right? I mean, it is fall.

About

“Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.” Coco Chanel

I’m a quilt of many colors, a woman of many interest, a wannabe serial fashion entrepreneur but most importantly I am a lover of style--everything from fashion, hair nails, makeup, interior design, photography, and all types of art--you name it. The more unique, creative and innovative the better! If it style, I am interested! I will be curating, compiling and cataloging (and reblogging) most of what I discover here as often as I can (lucky you).
Other things that pique my interests are history, politics, the environment (I try to be green), health/fitness/body image, obscure movies/shows, random celebrity tidbits and sharing my view on various subjects.
Here you will find find motivated mavens, confident chicas, dapper dudes, awesome artist and notable quotables. I can go from serious to humorous in a matter of seconds so enjoy the ride. When I am not being inspired by beautiful, fascinating things you can find me using my super strength to beat people with my magical Pretty Stick until they look like they fell from the top of a very big pretty tree, hitting every lovely branch on the way down. Otherwise I'll be maneuvering through life in Las Vegas (for now), trying to be a real Go-Getter and generally being a creative genius behind all sorts of projects I never quite get around to (just yet that is).

“Fashion is when you want to wear what everyone else is wearing. Style is when everyone else wants to wear what you are wearing.” Olin T. Fredegar
